- There is a cut in the recording that, if you have your music, goes from measure 23 to measure 39. Basically, I cut out the second verse as it is sung in its entirety by the men alone. Just listen for the (awfully fake) violin sound, and you’ll know where you are.
- On those rare occasions when you have a single syllable but the note changes, there is a dash in the lyrics. For instance, the first line of Silent Night would look like this: “Si-lent night, ho-ly night.”
Because I have been blessed by thy great love, dear Lord,
I’ll share they love again according to thy word.
I shall give love to those in need;
I’ll show that love by word and deed;
Thus- shall my thanks be thanks indeed.
Because I have been sheltered, fed by thy good care,
I cannot see another’s lack and I not share
My glowing fire, my loaf of bread,
My roof’s safe shelter overhead
That- he too may be comforted.
Because, because I have been given much dear Lord,
I have been given much.
