Frisco Stake Conference Choir

Welcome, singers!

Because our rehearsal time is so limited for this stake conference, I have prepared rehearsal tracks for each part so you can get an ear for the notes in your spare time. I know – ha ha, “spare time.” But this way we can spend more of our precious time together making the music beautiful and finding the Spirit of it, instead of pounding parts ad nauseum. I hope this also gives us more confidence, and opens the choir up to more members. My guess is we will have a very large space to fill with sound, so invite all your singer friends to join us, even if only for one rehearsal.

There is a blog entry for each part on each song. I have also included the lyrics with each post to help you keep track of what’s going on if you don’t have your music with you. Here are links so you can find yours more easily (I hope):

BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN GIVEN MUCH:

Soprano

Alto

Tenor

Bass

BEHOLD, A ROYAL ARMY:

Soprano

Alto

Tenor

Baritone (there is a brief split in the bass line near the end of the song)

Bass

Thank you for your service, brothers and sisters! I know from experience it’s not always easy to sit apart from your families at these meetings, but I also know what a joy it is to bear testimony through music, and to feel the spirit so strongly as the angels sing with us.

Musically yours, Amy Burr
